Sketching and painting are universal languages, and a powerful way to do an active meditation to relax. Being able to draw and paint is not a matter of talent. It's a toolbox of skills you can train, like when you learn a language, or music....

With practical exercises focused on observation, play, exploration, and experimentation participants will explore colours and sketching, with watercolours and colour pencils.

Bring your own tools if you have, but watercolours, colour pencils , brushes and paper will be available.

Barbara Pecheur is an architect, active in restoration of monuments, author of 4 travel sketchbooks and drawing teacher at the Université Libre de Bruxelles for the 1st and 2nd bachelor architecture students.

Based in Brussels, she holds a degree in Architecture and restoration of Monuments & Sites, and has also online drawing and painting classes on the Skillshare Platform where she helped already over 9000 students make progress in drawing and painting.

She also hosts a blog and You Tube channel where she shares her thoughts about living a creative life, about how she found more and more fun and joy in making art by getting rid of her demons like fear, perfectionism, what-might-other-people-think, ugliness (what’s that anyway?), Art with a big A, ….

She believes that everyone is an artist and creative.
