Step Into the World of an Artoholic

"I am not an art collector. I am an ‘artoholic,’ and this is a serious addiction. Art is the main interest in my everyday life. Beyond the joy it brings, aesthetics provide constant stimulation for the mind and spirit—it’s a wellspring of creativity and a problem-solving approach to life."

Galila Barzilaï’s journey into art collecting began unexpectedly in 2007 during a visit to the Armory Show in New York. That moment sparked an unstoppable passion for contemporary art and a relentless drive to discover emerging talent. Her collection is defined by curiosity, eclecticism, non-conformism, humor, and intuition.

Rather than a traditional collection, Galila’s space is a contemporary curiosity cabinet—a seemingly chaotic yet deeply personal reflection of her identity. Every piece contributes to an evolving self-portrait, offering insight into her character and vision.

In 2019, she opened P.O.C. – Passion, Obsession, Collection, a space dedicated to her ever-growing universe. While the current exhibition, Overdose, is permanent, it is anything but static. With over 600 works on display and new additions constantly enriching the space, P.O.C. thrives as an evolving exhibition, fostering continuous dialogue between the art and its audience.

You don’t need to be an art connoisseur to immerse yourself in Galila’s Wonderland. Come with fresh eyes, ready to be amazed—because no matter where you look, there is always something to discover. In truth, P.O.C. is the kind of place you’ll want to revisit to fully uncover all its hidden treasures.

30€ - The ticket includes entry and a private tour with Galila.

Beyond this exclusive visit with Galila, who will share the fascinating stories behind her collection, we will explore contemporary art and its many layers through a workshop scheduled on May 27 - Register HERE. Why does it provoke such strong reactions? What makes it so bold? Guiding us through these questions will be the brilliant Ana Fota, the journalist behind Nap at the Opera.

Whether contemporary art leaves you skeptical or in awe, one thing is certain—it never fails to be audacious!

> The visit and the workshop are complementary, but you’re welcome to attend either one or both
