Stepmother or Stepmonster? How to Stay Sane In a Blended Family

24/09/2025 - From 19h30 to 21h - Members & Guests

Precise data on the separation rate of blended families in Europe is limited. Existing data indicates that remarriages tend to have higher divorce rates than first marriages. This underscores the unique troubles faced by blended families: emotional distress, legal challenges, financial conflict, authority issues, stigma, societal pressure, and more. Moreover, blended families often lack access to specialized therapy or counseling programs designed to address stepfamily dynamics. Who hasn’t had a psychotherapist who had to admit having no expertise in these complex relationships? On top of that, dedicated community groups in which stepparents can share experiences and seek advice are rare.

In the series “How to Stay Sane in a Blended Family?”, she will combine the best of both. By bringing together stepmothers, we will make collective intelligence work by sharing the ups, the downs, and the hacks of blended families. In addition to that, we will invite experts and coaches to share best practices to stay sane and protect oneself.

If you are happy to share your struggles, eager to learn, and find a new balance in your blended family, the last Wednesday of the month is there for you—to recalibrate, to share, to laugh, to cry, and especially to recharge your battery to stay sane.
